He earned his B.E. and M.E. in mechanical engineering at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and his D.E. in electronic engineering at Tokyo University.

Dr. Ohmori is director of the Kashima Space Research Center, and holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Thohoku, Japan.
