Serving as a continuation of the bestselling book EW 101: A First Course in Electronic Warfare, this new volume is a second book based on the popular tutorials featured in the Journal of Electronic Defense. Without delving into complex mathematics, this book lets you understand important concepts central to EW, so you gain a basic working knowledge of the technologies and techniques deployed in today's EW systems.Organized into chapters with new introductory and supplementary material from the author, this unique book includes tutorials on radar characteristics, infrared and electro-optical systems, signal jamming, spectrum spreading, satellite communications, and emitter location systems. A thorough and challenging problem set for each class of EW technology explained in the book, complete with solutions, teaches you how to evaluate systems and their applications. An index that cross-references EW 102 with its predecessor EW 101 rounds out this second course in electronic warfare. This practical resource is supported with over 260 illustrations and more than 150 equations.
