This powerful, updated software offers you a highly accurate and efficient tool for solving the radar equation for the maximum range at which a radar can achieve target detection under conditions of various interference sources, such as thermal noise, surface clutter, precipitation, chaff, and jamming. An invaluable, time-saving resource. It tabulates the radar loss budget and calculates the errors in tracking the target as a function of range. The new version of this popular software boasts superior graphics capabilities, making every step of the calculation process visible to you. Version 3.0 also improves upon past versions by allowing you to make modifications to accommodate special requirements not anticipated by the software creator. In a series of Mathcad worksheets, you simply provide the software with the parameters of the radar to be analyzed, the target, and the environment in which the radar operates. The program quickly evaluates and plots the effects of the environment on the radar signal and solves for the maximum range at which the detection probability is obtained. This invaluable tool analyzes measurement errors as a function of range, generates vertical coverage charts, and tabulates detailed loss budgets. The software utilizes the powerful graphics capability of Mathcad to present results of intermediate steps in the analysis, in plots that can be extracted and used directly to illustrate technical reports. Moreover, this unique software provides detailed modeling of reflector, lens, and array antenna patterns, combinations of clutter and jamming, and propagation phenomena for signals and all interference sources. Detailed calculations are made of the many losses that affect detection and measurement, which are summarized in tables. The end result generated by this invaluable program is a complete picture of radar performance in both search and tracking modes, applicable to a wide variety of radar types, including surveillance, tracking, and multifunction radars. System Requirements: PC with Mathcad installed. Windows 98Se, Me, NT 4.0 SP6, 2000 SP2, XP or higher. 233 MHz or higher (1 GHz or higher recommended). Minimum 96 MB, 256 MB or more recommended.
