This book constitutes a short course on noise jamming, range, angle and velocity deception, and on-off keying. Clearly demonstrated are analyses of radar and ECM interaction problems, often treated only superficially in existing literature. In the toughest cases when jamming is difficult to analyze, you'll see how computer simulation can be used to investigate radar ECM interactions. The book draws upon current computer simulation capabilities to determine quantitative values of the jammer-to-signal ratios that cause a specified jamming effect. In addition, it shows you how jamming affects closed loop subsystems over time periods which are long compared to radar pulses or pulse repetition intervals. Helpful appendices give you a foundation in feedback control systems, target coordinate measurement and tracking and simulation techniques.
Introduction and Review of ECM Fundamentals. Noise Jamming. Range Deception. Angle Deception. Velocity Deception. ON and OFF Jamming of Automatic Gain Control. Appendices.
